Andrew Magyar, PhD

Co-Founder, Capra Biosciences, Inc.

Dr. Magyar is Co-Founder of Capra Biosciences, a Virginia-based biotechnology company developing flexible biomanufacturing platforms. Before founding Capra, he served as Principal Scientist at Draper Laboratory, leading multidisciplinary R&D programs in advanced materials and nanofabrication. Andrew earned his PhD in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he developed bio-templated materials for photocatalytic water splitting, and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University focusing on silicon carbide and diamond nanophotonics. He is passionate about fostering Virginia’s growing biotechnology ecosystem.
