Eric Edwards, PhD

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Phlow Corporation; CEO, MedPhlow

Dr. Edwards is the Co-Founder and CEO of Phlow Corporation, a Virginia-based public benefit pharmaceutical company addressing vulnerabilities in the essential medicines supply chain through advanced domestic manufacturing. He also leads MedPhlow, a subsidiary focused on novel essential medicine delivery platforms. Previously, Eric co-founded Kaléo, Inc., where he held several executive roles including Chief Science Officer and Chief Medical Officer, leading R&D and clinical strategy efforts. He is the co-inventor of AUVI-Q®, the epinephrine auto-injector for anaphylaxis, as well as the Rapid Opioid Countermeasure System (ROCS) used by the Department of Defense in case of an opioid-related chemical attack and holds more than 215 patents. Eric continues to serve his community as a volunteer paramedic. He earned his BS in Biology, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and MD from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia.
